This is the closest airport to Bankside approximately 8 miles away situated in London Docklands. It provides access from key European destinations and can boast a quick passenger throughput. Stansted is adjacent to the 8a junction on the M11. Luton Airport
The Airport now offers passengers an extensive choice of both scheduled and charter services including frequent departures to over 85 destinations, including services to Europe, Africa and North America. Luton has excellent transport links by road (M1, A1) and rail - 50 minutes to London Bridge from London Luton Airport Parkway, located on the Thameslink line with courtesy buses shuttling passengers between airport and station. Situated west of London, it is the UK’s largest airport and provides Bankside with links to over 250 international destinations. COACH PARKING
Southwark Street
There are eight 20 minute set down/pick up points along Southwark Street and at the south end of Southwark Bridge for attractions such as Shakespeare's Globe, Tate Modern and Vinopolis. One point is located at the East end of Southwark Street, which is conveniently placed for Southwark Cathedral, the Golden Hinde and Borough Market.
Tooley Street
At London Bridge there are three 30 minute set down/pick up bays at English Grounds Turn into Battlebridge Lane from Tooley Street. The coach bays provide a safe, riverside meeting place for groups close to HMS Belfast.
Tower Hill
Tower Hill Coach Park near the Tower of London offers a mixture of drop-off and parking spaces ideal for some of the London Bridge attractions. Tower Place also provides excellent toilet facilities and a waiting area. For more information see www.cityoflondon.gov.uk

Golden Hinde offers one free place for every eight visitors the ship. Shakespeare’s Globe Groups are required to book in advance, and must be a minimum of 15 people. Southwark Cathedral

Union Theatre
Call the box office for group bookings. For most performances there is one free ticket for groups of 10 or more. There is also a bar which coach drivers can sit in.

River Operators
The River Thames is the best way to arrive in Bankside, London Bridge and Bermondsey alighting at either Bankside, London Bridge City, Tower Millennium and St Katharine's piers.
Tate to Tate

Thames Clippers
Operating a quick service between Embankment and the 02 arena, stopping at destinations such as Tower Pier, Canary Wharf and Greenwich the Thames Clippers services departs from Bankside Pier between the hours of 10am and 5pm.
