Whether you've finished work and are looking for somewhere to catch up with friends or colleagues or staying in London for business or leisure and would like to make the most of your time in London, read on for some ideas for the end of your day.

Make the most of the Tate Modern's late opening on Fridays and Saturdays, either to stroll around the permanent exhibitions for free or to visit one of Tate Modern's major exhibitions.

VinopolisLondon's unique wine tasting attraction, also stays open late on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Enjoy a self-guided wine tasting experience and enjoy tasting new wines, spirits or Champagne.

On a dry evening, join the ‘Along The Thames' Pub Walk by London Walks. Meet 7pm on Mondays and Fridays at Mansion House Tube, exit 1 for the walk that takes in London's last remaining galleried coaching inn, the finest art nouveau pub in England, an 18th-century pub that brews its own beer and London's best skyline panorama.

If you fancy catching a show, the Menier Chocolate Factory produces some of the most innovative and exciting theatre in town. There is also a cool atmospheric restaurant with a new delicious menu. Enjoy a great value with their hugely popular Meal Deal which includes a two course meal and ticket for the show.

From April to October, you also have the choice of seeing a performance at The Globe Theatre, a faithful reconstruction of the open air playhouse designed in 1599, where Shakespeare worked and wrote most of his greatest plays.

Situated behind the Tate Modern, is the Bankside Mix, which offers a wide selection of London's newest restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.

Del-Aziz, a buzzy Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, hosts a diverse selection of live entertainment. Thursdays is the glitzy flamenco show, Fridays is funky belly dancing, and Saturdays enjoy live Arabic fusion music.

Insiders Tip: Don’t miss the Last Sundays of the Month: 'Arabian Nights' (£15)- where the talented Abdelkader Saadoun band will be playing original composition, North Africa rai, arabic, fusion and world music with special guest Artists. Live Music, DJ and Belly dancers.

The Refinery is the ultimate bar and restaurant with music and a late license, open until late on Thursdays and Fridays.

Also in Bankside mix, casual and hip Vapiano is holding new monthly ‘Lounge nights’. Come in for after work drinks and unwind in their spacious lounge where DJs will spin relaxing old school grooves and funk house tunes.

Down Borough High Street The Roxy brings together cinema with high quality drinks and food with a relaxed yet atmospheric 1950s theatre décor.

Under the railway arches, the Union Theatre and café at 204 Union Street, hosts a wide range of innovative events, plays, musicals, local art exhibitions and a youth theatre. They also have a quirky, affordable and yummy café.

Closer to London Bridge Station, is Katzenjammers, Borough Market’s very own German Bierkeller and restaurant, features Friday nights live music from the legendary Oom-Pah Brass
